Your Health and Safety
The safety of our patients and staff is our highest priority. Given the current situation with Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are asking that if you have a planned admission for surgery, but you;
- have any of these signs/symptoms; fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose or shortness of breath
- have travelled from overseas in the 14 days
- have arrived from interstate in the last 14 days from any area listed by SA Health as an active potential exposure site for COVID-19
- have had contact with a person with confirmed COVID-19 in the last 14 days
Please contact Vista Day Surgery for further advice.
Patient Screening
All patients will receive a pre-operative telephone call from one of our nurses one or two days prior to surgery date. You will be asked exclusion criteria questions during the telephone call and asked to sign a Health Screening Questionnaire on your admission.
If you develop any signs/symptoms during the 14 days prior to your surgery date or after your pre-operative telephone call, you are urged to attend a COVID-19 clinic for testing. You will be required to return a negative COVID-19 test result for admission to proceed.
Please do not hesitate to contact us regarding any further concerns or questions.
